    Welcome to the Living Life 5K website (“Site”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this Site, registration for events, and participation in any events, programs, or activities organized under the Living Life 5K name (collectively, the “Events”).

    By accessing this Site, registering for an Event, or participating in any Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this Site or participate in any Events.

    1. Organization & Purpose

    Living Life 5K organizes community-based running and walking events designed to promote connection, encouragement, and charitable impact. Certain Events may benefit nonprofit partners, including but not limited to the Pregnancy Care Center of San Antonio or other designated charitable organizations.

    Event details, locations, start times, beneficiaries, and programming elements may vary from year to year.

    2. Registration & Eligibility

    • All participants must complete official registration through an authorized platform.

    • Registration information must be accurate and complete.

    • Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian provide consent.

    • Registration may not be transferred without prior written approval from event organizers.

    • Living Life 5K reserves the right to refuse or cancel any registration at its discretion.

    3. Fees & Refund Policy

    Unless otherwise stated for a specific Event:

    • Registration fees are non-refundable.

    • Fees are non-transferable.

    • No refunds will be issued for weather, scheduling conflicts, illness, travel issues, or other personal circumstances.

    If an Event is postponed, modified, converted to virtual, or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond organizer control (including but not limited to severe weather, governmental restrictions, or force majeure), registration may be honored for the rescheduled date at the discretion of the organizers.

    4. Assumption of Risk

    Participation in running, walking, family activities, or other event programming involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

    • Physical injury

    • Falls

    • Contact with other participants

    • Weather-related conditions

    • Uneven terrain

    • Equipment-related incidents

    • Animal interactions (if applicable)

    By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

    You affirm that you are physically able to participate and assume full responsibility for your health and safety.

    5. Waiver & Release of Liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants agree to release and hold harmless:

    • Living Life 5K and its organizers

    • Event staff and volunteers

    • Sponsors and partners

    • Host venues (which may include entities such as Cross Mountain Church or other venues)

    • Event beneficiaries and nonprofit partners

    from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to participation in any Event.

    This release applies to claims arising from negligence to the maximum extent permitted under Texas law.

    6. Health & Safety Compliance

    Participants agree to:

    • Follow all posted signage and staff instructions.

    • Abide by course rules and safety protocols.

    • Supervise minors at all times.

    • Maintain control of strollers or personal equipment.

    • Comply with any local, state, or venue-specific regulations in effect at the time of the Event.

    Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant engaging in unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior.

    7. Photography & Media Release

    By attending or participating in an Event, you grant Living Life 5K and its partners the right to:

    • Photograph, record, and capture your image or likeness

    • Use photos and video for promotional, marketing, recap, or archival purposes

    • Share media across websites, social media, print materials, and advertising

    No compensation will be provided for such use.

    8. Event Modifications

    Living Life 5K reserves the right to:

    • Modify courses or programming

    • Change locations or start times

    • Adjust activities or schedules

    • Cancel or postpone Events

    Such decisions may be made for safety, weather, operational, or other logistical considerations.

    9. Website Use

    You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:

    • Attempt to interfere with Site functionality

    • Access restricted areas without authorization

    • Reproduce, distribute, or republish content without written consent

    All content, branding, logos, and materials on this Site are the property of Living Life 5K unless otherwise noted.

    10. Third-Party Links & Platforms

    The Site may contain links to third-party websites, registration platforms, or sponsors. Living Life 5K is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party entities.

    11. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from these Terms or participation in an Event shall be resolved in courts located within Texas.

    12. Changes to These Terms

    Living Life 5K may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Site or participation in Events constitutes acceptance of any changes.
